honey-colored treasure is smooth yet powerful.
The nose, like most Islay malts, is distinctive
and intriguing, with delightful aromas of bramble
and meadows of fresh flowers. Tarry awhile and
you will detect hints of caramel and dried fruit.
The palate - strong oak, sea spray and dried
seaweed - a direct result of fifteen years of
aging beside the ocean. It is definitely Islay
but it does not carry the island wallop that
might otherwise intimidate faint-hearted whisky
lovers.
